Pray for strength!

But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40-31
NKJV

The bible verse above sums up my predicament. I have been busy with the daily demands on my time that I have forgotten the most important thing that is needed; to rest upon the Lord. Like Martha, I have been busy serving on my own strength that I have lost sight of the One I am serving. Now I am drained and weary, the exact opposite of what is promised by God in Isaiah.

I realise that many of my students feel that same lethargy, for one reason on another. The demands of life are lurking in the shadows, ever ready to steal away the joy we have in Jesus. I would like to encourage my students facing similar trials to cast their cares on Christ.

If you are reading this post, take a little time to pray with me this prayer.

Lord, remove all stumbling block that keep us apart from You. Watch over us here in ACSI. Refine us so that we may grow in the likeness of Christ your Son.

Take hold of our lives, and we invite you to reign over us. Give us your love, your strength, and your joy, and walk with us so that our lives' circumstances shall neither overwhelm nor make us lose sight of you.

Lord we pray for our brothers (and sisters) who are finding life a struggle at this time. May You reach out to them with your healing and your comfort. Let them know You are present and is ever faithful. With your guidance they will overcome.

We would also like to remember those we know who have not discovered the joy of knowing You. We pray for your mercies upon them, and that you would grant them the same Gift of Salvation that you have graciously bestowed upon us.

In Jesus' name we ask and pray.
Amen.
