Helplessly sick

Why is it of all time I have to be inflicted by flu during the school holiday? On wednesday the 16th I thought I was dead. I woke up with every part of me convulsing in pain and I spent the rest of my day confined to bed. The throbbing headache did not help matter, and when the coughing started, it felt as though I was drowning in phlegm.

It worried me to no end not because the suddent onset of illness is cramping my holiday plan, but rather there are so many things to do in preparation for term 2. With the second term looming near, to be inflicted by a throat condition is definitely a teacher's nightmare.

But that was wednesday. Today I am feeling so much better. Even with a slight fever, I do feel stronger and the body aches have dissipated. I did enjoy the time with Eric and Kenneth during consultation at Long John Silver Bukit Batok. Lunch was tasteless in my mouth but I felt on the mend, which was good.

So I post this on my blog to give thanks to God who is still healing me. Without His intervention it would be almost impossible to have such a quick recovery. I also give thanks for the mindless antics of both boys, acknowledging that God does provide clowns to line up an otherwise grey sky.

In retrospect I am not sure how much Kenneth or Eric learn today. But I heard Kenneth picked up three chords from Eric when both are supposed to do their holiday joy. Eric had to be violently uprooted from Long John Silver. I was accused to be a kidnapper or overlord... isn't this a mad day or what?
