Thank you for the new blog Tim.

Thanks to Tim's most thoughtful gift, my blog has taken on a new look. It's bluish tint is just the way I like it, and the mountains in the backdrop brings fond memories of the good old days when I was energetic enough to scale some beautiful mountains in Wales and Greece.

Those days are long gone. So were the friends that I used to hang around with when I was in university. There is a time for everything under the sun, and I have moved on from the happy-go-lucky life that was a constant feature of my former self.

It is not all bad. Not many people know what they really want to do in life. So I am happy to be counted among the few who are fortunate enough to discover their true calling. Mine is to teach. Teaching is something that I am really passionate about and is what I was meant to do.

I had been a scholar, engineer, research student, and now, teacher. One of my life's regret is that I was not brave enough to follow my heart earlier in life. I never considered teaching because I could do many things that I thought was greater.

While I still think that life in general is without meaning, I guess a real consolation for me is that at the very least I know that the work I put in may count for something to those I serve.
