How time flies. It's almost the end of term three and it has been an exhilirating ride. With so many exciting things that came my way, it was difficult to find time for self-reflection. I had received feedback on my teaching style, which I want to blog about here.
Firstly, I should set deadlines for assignments. I think that is a good idea since students procrastinate if they are not given firm deadlines. Perhaps I should not give them too many questions as homework, which would help speed up their assignment.
Another student said I shouldnt be too apologetic. The say that some students do deserve being reprimanded so I should not feel so bad doing so. I will keep that in mind. But importantly I wish that they know that when they are corrected, it would be for their own good. I don't enjoy putting people down or giving them a bad day. I really like to build students up so that they realise their God-given potential.
