Let me first qualify why it took me so long to post. My laptop died. It decided to give up the ghost a few days ago, after shutting down several times on its own accord after giving notice of checksum error which did nothing to clarify the problem.
For some reason I was moved to make a backup of all the teaching materials for the last six months, so when the laptop died, thankfully all was not lost. Now I have a laptop with a new hard disk and a fresh operating system. I am praying that this configuration will survive until the end of the year.
While we are on the topic of weight, I am kind of disturbed that I have put on 2 kg, now a total of 72 kg. I am officially obese (sigh) and this makes me kind of upset. You see, all my life I have been rather oversized, and now and then I wish, perhaps, just once in my life, before I kiss this life goodbye, I would fall in the normal weight range.
Being middle-age does not help matter. The body has a mind of its own, opting for the easy way out even though the mind thinks great thoughts of ambitious exercise regime. Lower metabolic rate translates into bigger waistline even with small albeit harmless morsels of cheesecake and belgium chocolate ice-blended.
My life is really very sad.
