Last sunday, the preacher quoted to us this particular verse that was attributed to Jim Elliot
He is no fool
Who gives what he cannot keep
To gain what he cannot lose.
Jim Elliot was martryed bringing the gospel to the Indian tribe. He was willing to sacrifice his life to bring the good news of the Gospel to the darkest reaches of the world.
In comparison, all that I have done and achieved are terribly insignificant. The poignant point I have learnt is that I must never lose sight of what is really important in my life. Life is terribly busy and many times I dont know whether what I do is important in this mosaic of life.
I do pray that the work that God has given me will be pleasing unto Him. To God be all the glory.
