Sunday Reflection

I had a great sunday today. I was driving of to my church as usual this morning when I was overcome by an overwhelming desire to visit Living Waters Methodist. A sudden craving for Dover pancakes may explain the change of heart, but I could attribute it to divine appointment as well.

The sermon was given by a missionary pastor, introduced as an accomplished guitarist who has served six years in Nepal. He challenged the congregation to seriously consider going on a mission trip. I have been asked to consider a mission trip in December, so could this be a timely reminder from God to seriously consider this offer? Let's pray about this..

Did I tell you I had breakfast with Darryl before going for service? We had a great time indulging in mee rebus and authentic kopitiam coffee. While we were there a lady passed by which looked like last year's Miss Singapore pageant winner. You could ask Darryl to tell you more about this.

You probably know I wasn't too happy when Derek and Tim were going off from my class while I was teaching. When I had time to think about this, I realised it wasnt such a big deal and they were doing something really important that day. I should have been more supportive and accomodating.

Tien En was right. Some day my FPS boys would probably need to get out of class for one thing or another and so I should be reasonable if I expect other teachers to do the same. Chong Wee made a similar point, but with more colourful language I am too bashful to blog. You can ask him about it. In conclusion I did not think I did the right thing. So I apologise unreservedly to Tim and Derek for making them miserable last Friday. Please forgive me. Teachers make mistakes too.

While I am on the topic of forgiveness, I am also sorry to those who came for last Friday's remedial last Friday. I am sorry I was not able to give each of you my fullest attention as I had UYO to attend to. I hope you guys will still turn up, and next time round we will go through the areas which you still have difficulty with.

Again I remind you that I am here to help you should you need a helping hand. Persevere in your revision and may the Peace of God go with you wherever you go.
