I went out on a date last night. My date was a really nice lady. She was friendly and chatty, works in an institution of public character and has a real passion for her work. She was also a very patient person given that I arrived late to pick her up. My latecoming was partly due to the fact that my afternoon nap took longer than expected, and that I took a longer route to avoid the unneccesary evening jams.
As it turned out, we decided to try Swedish food at IKEA which predictably was jam-packed with like-minded people. We ended up at Burger King, which I can testify is a lousy place to have a first date in. Ordering a double whopper was another big mistake. It wasn't pretty to have bits of lettuce, tomato and mayo dripping on your lap and all over the table. That wasnt quite the first impression I wanted to project.
Anyway we had a nice evening. We rounded up the evening shopping at IKEA. All I wanted was a jug but just the same we ended up looking at sofa set, cushions, curtains, all manner of cutlery. These of course were rather redundant once I decided on my jug but oh well, it was fun anyway shopping for things I may not need anytime soon.
